HOW TO make paper roses

I’ve made paper roses ever since I was a young child. I didn’t always have glue or tape on hand nor floral wire and green tape for that matter. I came up with my own secret way of making long stemmed paper roses without a drop of glue. Now I’m sharing it with you!

No Special Supplies Needed: Forget about hunting down glue or floral tape. This tutorial shows you how to create stunning roses with everyday materials you already have at home.

Quick and Easy: Perfect for beginners and experienced crafters alike. You’ll be amazed at how simple and fun it is to make these beautiful flowers.

Versatile and Long-Lasting: Unlike real roses, these paper beauties won’t wilt. They make perfect gifts, decorations, or additions to any DIY project.

Eco-Friendly Crafting: Embrace sustainable crafting by using paper and other materials you might already have. Reduce waste and create something beautiful. If you’re up for a challenge, try making these roses with fused plastic for an even hardier bloom.

Supplies

  • 1 sheet of paper around 14 – 24″ long and at least 2″ wide
  • I like to use paper shopping bags, because they’re the perfect thickness for a sturdy stem and hardy flower. Use brown paper bags for a more rustic look. If you’ve saved all that red and green wrapping paper from your Christmas presents it would be perfect! Just double up it if the paper is thinner.
  • 1 pair of scissors
